Latvian Legionnaires' Remembrance Day is a day celebrated in Latvia on March 16 to commemorate the Latvian legionnaires who served in the SS (Security Service) and other German military units during World War II. The day is quite controversial and controversial, as the Latvian legionnaires were part of the Nazi army during World War II, which causes differences in perception of their role in history.
